I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to teach your child this year. I appreciate your support in making this a successful year in your child's education. Second grade is a big transition year for most students. There are a few things you can do to help make this transition easier for your child. Please enroll your child in the Summer Quest Program at the public library. He/she will be able to earn nice prizes and keep up with their reading skills. Set aside a few minutes a day to work on addition, subtraction, and counting money. The students must be proficient in these skills to do second grade math successfully. Once again, thank you for your help and support this year. I could not have done it without your help! Have a wonderful summer!
